Liao Yun and Kang Mei Xin

On Sunday the 4th April 2004 I returned to the same hotel in Beijing where I had first met Mei Xin and Liao Yun in 2002. They had both lost their positions when the hotel was closed during the 2003 SARS scare, but they moved to another hotel and once again became my guides and companions during another wonderful visit.

Angel was to be my guide and travelling companion for a trip to Hunan province and Meixin was assistant and model for the Hutong project.

After I left China I sent Meixin a small digital camera and asked her to photograph Beijing from her own point of view. Below is a sample of what she sent me.
