In February 2001
this beautiful English lady, paying her way around the world
by modelling and currently staying in Melbourne, found me
on the Internet and offered me a deal. What followed was two
days of the toughest assignment I have ever attempted.
I had to promise
her a minimum amount of work over two days to make her trip
worthwhile, so I had to plan the shoot as I never had before..
to ensure I got full value from it.
I tend to be
pretty relaxed during a shoot with lots of coffee breaks and
general pondering. Jessica was the complete professional and
we tore through my shooting list leaving me exhausted. She
doesn't eat before or during a shoot lest it make her tummy
bulge (and reckons an 8 hour shoot is normal), takes at least
half an hour to apply her makeup and gets very touchy if you
interupt, visits the gym every three days... and wouldn't
let me shoot even one roll of colour because her makeup was
specifically for black and white
