Hannah,
and her friend Nellie, were recommended to me as potential models
in January 1994. Hannah was then 18 and pregnant. They were a lively
and uninhibited pair who gave me some great and enduring images. As
they were both members of the alternate lifestyle community (known
locally as "ferals") they then disappeared North for the Winter.
The following Summer Hannah got in
touch, said she enjoyed the first shoot very much and agreed to pose
again. I got three more shoots with her. The following year she had
begun a career as a jazz singer and performing and rehearsing left
her little time for modelling.
When we last spoke in April 1998 she was living happily in Melbourne
with her small son and pursuing her music career.
