In her last email to me before catching the plane to L.A. and then Oz Erika described herself as the one with the funny hat. Well here it is.

Although she came here to pose it did not come easily to her. She had to ease into it and it was important to get rapid feedback from processing and printing the film. For me this was the first image to convey her natural grace, elegance and beauty.

At this point I began to feel confident that the big experiment was going to work.
