Erika's First Gallery
Crabtree Summer School
In April 1997 I began corresponding by email with a US student about my photography and life in general. Eventually she casually offered to pose for me if I helped with her photography and I equally casually offered to pay her fare if she stayed and posed for at least a month. On the 31st December 1997 she arrived.

January 1998 was pretty damn intense for both Erika and I. For me the dream was to have a model on tap every day but the images that resulted now seem to me to chronicle the way we carefully got to know each other and fed off each other's ideas.
Erika's dream was simply to be warm during the middle of her winter months, to create some lasting images, and gain as much experience with processing and printing as possible.
