Chelsea's Boots

No it's not your eyes - I was experimenting with methods for conveying movement and energy in a still image.

This was my last shoot with Chelsea - unfortunately at a time when poor health was affecting my ability to plan and take good images. I liked a previous image of her nude, but for her boots, because to me it expressed something of her youth and vitality... so I wanted an encore. As usual Chelsea thought it was a silly idea but did it, collected her fee and left. Then her course finished and like most people her age she had to leave the state to look for work.

She is a beautiful, intelligent if enigmatic lady (to this day I have no idea what she thinks of me or my photography) and a delight to photograph - especially on those occasions when she brought her own ideas to the shoot and I managed to capture them to her satisfaction. I shall miss her but I will always be grateful for the great images she gave me.
